This week, FARLY proudly spotlights One Vintage, a unique high-end vintage clothing brand based in Queen’s Park, London, and founded by Marcelle Symons. The brand specialises in exceptional vintage pieces, occasionally up-cycling them into contemporary designs while preserving hand-crafted details such as beading and embroidery.
A Festive FARLY Edit

The Story Behind One Vintage
Marcelle’s journey began with a vision: to reimagine vintage fashion while honouring its original craftsmanship. Her passion for sustainable fashion began in the early 2000s when she opened a shop and quickly realised the abundance of leftover stock at the end of each season. This insight led her to pivot towards vintage fashion—dedicating herself to up-cycling old items and transforming them into limited-edition, one-off pieces, giving garments a new lease of life.

Now, more than two decades later, Marcelle has built an international network of dealers who reach out with pieces she might like. She describes having a mental checklist of clients, curating each item with their tastes in mind. It’s not just about shopping; it’s about styling—matching the right piece to the right person.
Born in Lebanon, Marcelle and her family fled during the civil war, seeking refuge in Milan. There, her understanding of different cultures began to shape. Attending a French school in Italy and being raised in a multicultural household allowed her to speak four languages. This cultural fluency and her understanding of global fashion trends have become key to her work, enabling her to connect with diverse communities and tastes.
Marcelle reflects on how this history shaped her ability to discern what people want in fashion and led to the creation of One Vintage. “It’s more than just finding beautiful things,” Marcelle explains. “It’s about seeing their potential and matching them with the right person. When I find something special, a light goes off—it’s perfect for someone.”
Today, One Vintage is known for its extensive collection of antique textiles, designer labels, and unique vintage treasures.

Marcelle cherishes their individuality and timeless appeal: “Each one tells a story and makes a perfect heirloom, ideal as a thoughtful Christmas gift.”
