We caught up with Heather in Notting Hill, where she gave us an inside look at her brand, Frances Loom, her creative process, and an exclusive shoppable curation just for FARLY. Frances Loom is an international lifestyle brand specialising in handwoven rugs and heritage items sourced from artisans and craftsmen across the globe. While rugs remain the centrepiece, Heather also sources unique, one-of-a-kind antiques and other treasures, each chosen for its character and signs of life—qualities that add depth and charm to any home. The brand celebrates sustainable craftsmanship and beautiful design.
Heather’s background is eclectic, blending years in the tech world and a passion for interior design. As a true Libra, her love of beauty and creativity is rooted in storytelling through spaces. With Frances Loom, she combines artistry and intentional curation, creating rooms that are as comforting as they are sophisticated. As Heather explains, “I believe interiors are an extension of ourselves; the best spaces are those that feel interesting, layered, and personal.” Her goal is to bridge traditional craftsmanship with a modern sensibility, showing how timeless pieces can enhance any space, whether new or old.
Currently renovating a Victorian flat in Notting Hill, Heather’s love for interiors is rooted in a lifelong appreciation for artistry, detail, and design. Her taste spans styles—from Tibetan prayer rugs to chunky jute weaves, quirky oil portraits, and traditional antiques. Heather’s eye for quality and heritage design has made Frances Loom a destination for those seeking authentic, beautifully curated homeware. Her signature style is the “collected look”—a blend of history, character, and charm that makes any space feel truly personal.
A Commitment to Conscious Living
Frances Loom is as committed to sustainability as it is to style. Heather ensures that her pieces are sourced through ethical channels, supporting artisans and communities while minimising environmental impact. Her dedication to conscious living is evident in how she repurposes textiles that may no longer work as rugs, transforming them into furniture, jackets, and other treasures. This approach underscores her belief that quality-driven design should honour the environment and the people behind each piece. You can explore some of these unique items in the FARLY edit.
Frances Loom X FARLY Collection
Heather has curated an exclusive collection for FARLY, featuring cosy essentials that make a home feel truly personal. The edit includes everything from traditional Persian rugs to unique lighting, oil paintings, cushions, blankets, a vintage stool crafted from repurposed rugs, a candle, and one-of-a-kind jackets made from old, repurposed textiles.
Centre of the FARLY edit are three exclusive Heriz Kara rugs, sourced from a small village called Heriz not far from Tabriz is Mount Sabalan. These rugs need no introduction, especially as far as the design is concerned, but they're actually just as special on the inside as they are out... legend has it, their durability is down to the deposit of copper beneath the mountain. Traces of this can be found in the sheep's drinking water, which, combined with the high altitude, makes their wool more resilient and ideal for areas with lots of footfall. Known for their beautiful medallion designs and natural, rich colourways, Heather believes they bring a “lived-in, warm feel” to any room
Antique Agnetta Rug - £595.00
This edit also includes unique repurposed pieces, like jackets made from antique rugs paired with vintage shearling or velvet—truly one-of-a-kind wearable art. This bespoke, bomber-style jacket is tailor-made using a North West Persian rug from circa 1910, with a navy blue cotton velvet trim. The lining is sustainable cupro satin. Each piece has been thoughtfully selected, individually designed, and hand-stitched in London.
This bespoke, bomber-style jacket below is tailor-made using a Qashqai rug from circa 1900, with a vintage shearling trim.
Full disclosure: These jackets are quite heavy and warm (think of a weighted blanket). While they will become more pliable with wear, they’re less like your favourite sweater and more like an original Alexander McQueen piece you'd wear for a special occasion.
Also in the collection are a mix of other homeware items such as an oil painting of a Portrait of a Lady and a still life of Fruit. Heather has always believed that the items in our homes should enrich our lives. “I love adding little treasures that make a home feel like ‘you,’” she shared. Her FARLY collection is thoughtfully curated to create spaces that reflect who we are and what we love. Please do explore the whole edit on FARLY today!
